Rely on Woodfire and Charcoal For Cooking

Burning firewood as fuel for cooking destroys forests, and causes serious health and social problems.

Supporting improved cookstoves through carbon credits offers a holistic, impactful solution.

Tembo Climate carbon credits allow reputable corporates to have a positive impact on Climate Change.

Such Carbon credits enable the delivery of more sustainable cooking methods to sub-Saharan African communities.

Wood consumption and carbon emissions drop by 50%.

Women and girls spend less time collecting firewood and cooking and more time in education and income-generating activities.

Health problems due to smoke-inhalation decrease.

Overall community living standards increase overall, and poverty levels drop.

While fully sustainable cookstoves running on biofuels or electricity are doing a great in urban areas, improved cookstoves using firewood are essential to transition rural communities to healthier cooking habits.

Let’s Scale Improved Cookstoves Together

Where clean cooking leads to capacity building and improved livelihoods for rural communities.

Build More Resilient Communities
